And it drives me NUTS!
Coaches who don’t know what they are doing more damage than good and I wish there could be a way to stop it or make it easier to identify.
For most of my working life, I was in an industry that required licensing, so I have always respected requirements to do a certain job. I took great pride in not only following the state’s laws but actually exceeding them and hiring a team that felt just as strongly about it.
And that also means I took training very seriously when I choose to become a coach. Sadly, the coaching world doesn’t have a governing body overseeing them so there is no required training or set amount of hours of practice before you can start calling yourself a coach.
This means anyone who wants to say they are a life coach, can.
This means people who have no business meddling in people’s trauma and they are giving those of us who actually have training and qualifications beyond life experience, a bad name.
There is a lot of self-proclaimed “coaches” and energy healers claiming they can root out your money blocks and heal your core wounds. And they don’t know the first thing about trauma or the subconscious mind. They are working with the trends and not with science.
A lot of what is going on isn’t only unhelpful, it can cause more damage. I’m not suggesting they are purposely doing harm or that they even know any better actually. But did you know there are courses as short as 1 hour long to become a certified life coach? And some people think that is enough to start digging into the depths of trauma.
So more than anything, I’m annoyed that these “coaches” and training programs are keeping people STUCK and giving the coaching industry a bad name when I know there are proven tools you can use to salvage yourself and thrive after trauma and accomplish your goals.
That’s why I am stepping out and sharing this information.
With over 46 qualifications - and many of them being heavy-duty training programs + lots of life experience and successfully supporting my clients in this niche for the past 6 years, I feel that I can.
Because I can’t stand the thought of someone making a bigger mess of the mess you are trying to recover from.
You deserve more.
And you deserve a coach who can safely take you through the process to heal the blocks that are preventing you from growing into your next level and experiencing life the way that you dream of. Someone who can help your healing to feel fun and not full of sadness, shame and blame.
If you’re ready to see what life can become when you are healthy and whole...and do it in a safe space where you can get the support you need, let’s talk about what that can look like.
