Something simple and impactful for 2022

After the few years we've had, we deserve something simple.

It is something I am really starting to value.

Having one main focus or inspiration motivates my choices.

In the past, I was all over the place, doing all the things at once and as life became too overwhelming to manage that, I started stripping things away and making it simple.

So as we move into the new year, what is a world that you would choose to inspire how you feel and what you experience in 2022?

Email me to share what word feels good for you for 2022?  I think mine will be simple - Simple 😁

5 Quick Stress Busters (just in time for the holidays)

How do you react when your plans fall through?  Or when people test your patience?
Do you roll with the punches?  Or does anxiety keep you from being really present and enjoying yourself?

For most of my life, anxiety has been present or peeking around the corner.  But here are 5 things I use to help keep stress under control:

More Rest and Sleep.  It’s very common in our society to exist on less than 6 hours of sleep a night.  But experts recommend 6-8 hours of sleep per night. Not just to rest our bodies, but to rejuvenate our minds. Sleeping is the time for our bodies to not just rest, but heal.  I am not making any medical recommendations here but it wasn’t until I added magnesium to my routine that I have had quality sleep.

Take a walk.  10 minutes is all you need to start having a positive impact on your body’s hormones and emotional wellbeing.  This is actually my favorite!

Turn it off.  The convenience that cell phones have added to our lives can actually be a double-edged sword.  We depend on them so much it seems we can’t live without them.  Our minds are constantly filled with news, social media, emails, etc. and it is nearly impossible for us to settle. Put your phone down at least 30 minutes before bed.  (I’m dedicated to getting better at this one)

Take time to unplug - a vacation if you can.  It doesn’t have to be a fancy vacation resort.  A change of scenery - like a day at the beach, or an afternoon at the park.  Just anywhere you can be and not think about the bills, work, or whatever tensions you may have.  It’s important to take time for yourself, so do it!  You cannot give what you do not have.

Gratitude Distraction.  When you are feeling like nothing is going right and the stress is really getting to you one of the most effective things you can do is to find as many things that you are grateful for.  At least 3 - 10 is even better.  As challenging as this can be for the victim or gloomy part of us, it is usually an instant mood lifter.

Any one of these suggestions can be powerful.  I encourage you to try all 5.  Find your favs and double down on them.  I’ll be curious to hear how much more ease you experience in your life when you are consistent with them for a few weeks in a row.

Which on my list feels good for you? I’m curious, reply back to let me know.

Nothing has worked?

Do you feel like you have tried everything, but nothing has worked?

I know that feeling all too well. When it became clear I was dealing with anxiety and depression I was on a mission to try to fix myself.

I think I tried everything to get rid of anxiety, but there wasn't one thing that worked. I took medication and talked to several therapists (and when I say several, I mean I even had multiple at one time) -- while some of it helped in the moment, it was not the solution and something told me they were simply not getting to the root of the issue. Honestly, it was either masking the issue or digging up stuff that made me feel worse or sorry for myself.

Once I realized there was something deeper, I wanted to address the issue at the core, so I started digging. After practicing dozens of techniques and studying with some of the top gurus, what I found was that my anxiety was being triggered by subconscious beliefs. Once I figured out how to clear the beliefs, it reduced my triggers, my life changed for the better.

One of the biggest things I discovered is that there is nothing "wrong" with me or anyone actually. We all have triggers.

We all have patterns of emotions caused by subconscious beliefs and they are so strong, they can cause us to place ourselves in a situation and before our conscious mind even realizes it. Most people are reacting based on past events and they haven't had a chance to decide before the body is already doing it.

The truth is, you haven’t had a chance to choose your life because of a past event. Subconscious beliefs tell us our feelings about ourselves and the world around us. And often the beliefs are rooted so deep we can’t find them on our own. Or they are so stealth, we don't even realize when they are running under the surface of the conscious thought.

A few examples would be:

- I am not good enough.

- Nothing bad will ever happen to me.

- Everyone hates me.

You get the idea right?

Subconscious beliefs create our reality and if they are negative, then that is what we get from life because of how it messes with our view of everything - Of ourselves, others, the world. And they can stop us from taking action or cause us to take inefficient or even self-sabotaging action.

Things like procrastination, perfectionism, being controlling or being afraid to put yourself out there - fear of failure or even success. They are all caused by the beliefs deep within the subconscious mind. And they are what is causing anxiety as well.

If you've tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing has worked. It's time for something new and better! After years of research, study, and experience, I created the method that works and I want to help you reduce your anxiety (without medication) and help you reach the goals you set, by specifically targeting subconscious beliefs.

My life changed so much, I couldn't keep it a secret. Now, you change your life too!
